Defense Counsel

CIRE conducts the same services for defense counsels as law enforcement. We believe that digital evidence should be used for one purpose–to find the truth. We want full access to all digital evidence by both sides to ensure that justice is served. There should be no sides when it comes to access to evidence in the criminal justice system. 

There is the only truth, and advocates seek out that truth.  As prosecutors, law enforcement investigators, and forensics examiners, it is imperative that nothing stands in the way of the pursuit of the truth. Given some of the roadblocks faced by the defense, we view it as our responsibility to work with them to see that all evidence, including that which is exculpatory, is uncovered.
