The development of the workforce is critical for the future of digital forensics and technology investigations. Through education and training, CIRE develops a sustainable technology workforce equipped with the skills, capabilities, and experience to continue advancing the digital forensics and technology investigations field. Academic courses coupled with the real-world experience gained by students working in the Cyber Crimes Unit enable us to build a skills channel from the University of Notre Dame, to the Cyber Crimes Unit, to full-time technology jobs in the private and public sectors. Moreover, we develop law enforcement officers' technology and forensic skills by offering no-cost training courses related to technology, cybercrimes investigations, and digital forensics investigations.
